- 2-Apr-1837 – Married in Lowell, MA to Lorenzo D. Cummings (I know this is the correct marriage because Riley Hull Marden names her husband in the Annis Genealogy )

- bef Sep-1850 – adopted her niece Anne, daughter of her younger brother Chapin Kidder
- 1850 – Ryegate, Caledonlia Co., VT
- 1860 – Bath, Grafton Co., NH
- 1870 – Bath, Grafton Co., NH
- 1880 – Monroe, Grafton Co, NH
- 1890 – Danville, VT – Rebecca & Lorenzo die here about 2 weeks apart

The most important items to keep in mind about Rebecca J. Marden are;
- she had no children of her own
- she moved around a lot
- she is identified as “white” in all records
There is no evidence her parents ever lived in Massachusetss (but it’s always possible). Lowell was rapidly becoming an important mill town offering a work experience to young woman. I speculate she left her parents in Vermont to work in the Lowell mills. Her husband was born in Vermont, so perhaps he followed her to Lowell. Rebecca’s younger sister Hannah, also married in Lowell 3 years later.
