Our friend Randy Blood shared some wonderful photos of the family records contained in a bible story book he recently found while visiting with relatives in New York State. What a treasure!

Today I am posting the Death Register entry for Isaac Henry Kanistanaux.
Another wonderful find by our new friend, Randy Blood. This one is a real puzzler!
I have been searching for Layton & Marleah in census records prior to the 1875 NY State Census. I had no luck searching on the family name Kanistanaux. I decided to try just “Marleah” in an 1870 census search. I was surprised and very pleased to find a possible candidate.
Today is the beginning of a series of census records documenting the family of Caroline Augusta Kanistanaux. I found them from 1880 through to 1930, including the New York State Census.
I have one last census record for the Kanistanaux family to post at this time. This is the last one that was easy to locate. I still have other family members with missing census records and have located nothing prior to 1875.
I have yet another New York State Census for Stockton, NY done in the year 1905. Nothing of great interest here, but it does help confirm data already collected.
